DIY Spring Handprint Bouquet
This is the perfect spring craft for you and your littles, making a little keepsake with only a small mess. Using their hand and footprints you can create a beautiful spring flower bouquet. This would be perfect displayed as spring art framed or on the fridge. It would also make a great gift for family and friends.
All you need are a few items: craft paper, nontoxic acrylic paint, paint brushes, frames if your choosing to frame the art. I started by cutting my craft paper into the size I wanted, I used 8x10 frames so this is the size I cut my pieces into. I set up all of the pieces of paper in a line to create an assembly line for a quick and easy work space. Next I mixed the colors I wanted to use for my flowers, I chose 3 colors, and then a green color for the leaves and stem. You’ll want your kiddo in play clothes, or in just a diaper if they are in one. I took my babies hand, dipping it into the paint color, then stamped it onto the craft paper, repeating on each piece of paper that I had cut. Rinsing or wiping my babies had in between paint colors to ensure the colors were not mixing. Repeat this until you have as many flowers as you want on your craft paper. Then dip your child’s R foot into the green, stamping it at the bottom L of the craft paper, rinsing or wiping down their feet after. Do the same thing with the L foot, except you will place it at the bottom R of you craft paper, these foot prints will create the leaves of the flowers. After your piece dries, mine took no more than 30 minutes, you can either use a green marker or a small paint brush with the remaining green paint to make the flower stems for your bouquets. Be sure to label your art pieces with your child’s name and date either on the front or back of their artwork. You can also add a cute spring saying to the pieces. Once your little masterpiece is finished, you pice is ready to be framed, hung, or gifted.
The perfect keepsake for thoughtful spring decor, adding a memory of your child’s hand and footprints.
